Here is a great example of the benefits of the efficiency and durability of Schier’s hydromechanical grease interceptors. Pictured are a GB-250 grease interceptor and a SV24 sample well. The super efficient GB-250 design provides a certified grease storage capacity equal to a 1,000 gallon gravity grease interceptor, but in a much smaller footprint. The light weight and durability of the lifetime warranty H.D.P.E. products allows for easy installation without the need for heavy equipment and ensures they won’t have to repeat this process again in 5 years, the typical lifespan of a steel grease interceptor.

This HTP Phoenix PH76-50 Light Duty High Efficient Stainless Steel Tank water heater replaced a leaking AO Smith Cyclone at the Houston Salvation Army kitchen. The increase in thermal efficiency of the HTP Phoenix over the AO Smith Cyclone gives a small boost in performance, while also providing the superior 316L laser welded stainless steel tank, which require no anode rods for cathodic protection.

Residential crossover water heater

Glenn at Bayou City Plumbing installing the HTP RGH20-76F High Efficiency Crossover gas water heater. A Schier GB-500 installation in a strip center housing two restaurants. At this stage of the install, only the FCR2 risers, Safety Star and cast iron covers are visible. The bright yellow Safety Star is a revolutionary idea designed to prevent accidental entry into the interceptor and is a standard feature on the GB-500. The Safety Star openings and pedestrian load rating allow for routine maintenance like pump out and inspection while still in place. The Safety Star is tethered to unit, so it can be partially removed for full access to the man-way while ensuring it will be put back in place.

This job illustrates the benefits of efficiency. It is efficiency that allows Schier’s hydro mechanical grease interceptors to have such a small footprint when compared to gravity interceptors. That small footprint along with the multiple outlet options made this confined space application possible. Here we have a GB-75, which has a certified grease capacity of 616 lbs, along with a SV24-L4 sample well. They are tucked between the building, and the concrete drive, no breaking of concrete required.

Texas State Aquarium

Corpus Christi, TX

Zed Hernandez and Mike Barry stopped by the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi to see the installation of three Schier GB-250 HDPE grease interceptors along with with the FS-TRIO three way flow splitter. Zed and Mike worked directly with the engineer and local distribution in Corpus Christi to get this job done.

Big Paulie's Restaurant

Fulshear, TX

Big Paulie's had a problem, a concrete interceptor would not fit in the space they had available for their grease interceptor. Space saving is one of the many advantages of Schier grease interceptors but they had yet to be approved in Fulsher, so Clint Shows worked with the City of Fulshear and got the Schier GB-250 grease interceptor and Schier SV24 sample well approved. Big Paulie's space issue was resolved and the lighter HDPE interceptor was a much easier install.
